It is far more common than people think, in fact its the sixth most common phobia in the UK.
Sufferers of Emetophbio are know as Emetophobics or Emetophobes and their lives are greatly inhibited as there typical reaction is to avoid doing anything that has even the slightest chance of making them sick being sick for example going to pubs, restaurants, eating in front of others and obsessing about germs and hygeine, particularly in the kitchen but also around other people who are ill or might be.
